Leadwork & Flashings
Lead flashings are critical for sealing roof junctions where water naturally runs. Over time, lead cracks or slips, leading to leaks; we replace and dress new code lead to secure vulnerable joints.
When You Need Leadwork & Flashings
Water is leaking down your interior walls near the chimney breast. Lead flashing strips are sagging, cracking, or pulling away from brickwork. Mortar joints holding the lead into the brick chase have crumbled away. You notice white salt staining or damp patches on masonry around roof abutments.
How We Do It
We carefully remove old, deteriorated lead flashing and failing mortar joints. We clean out the brickwork chase and prepare the surface for new installation. We cut, shape, and install appropriately coded lead sheets to fit your roof geometry. We repoint the brickwork securement joints with durable sand and cement mortar.
What to Expect
Leadwork replacements and chimney flashing repairs typically take 1 to 2 days.
